JUNE.17 It’s been a busy couple of weeks, here’s what’s been keeping me busy… LIVE CHAT I started the month by hosting a week of live chats on Instagram. Each morning I logged in at 6.45am to share a message of morning motivation. It was pretty cool to answer questions and also to see people logging in from all over the world. If you missed the chats you can read more about it here. Motivating and encouraging people is something that I love and I really want to do more of… watch this space. NYC I packed my bags and flew to NYC with team adidas! It was an incredible trip, we were invited to run alongside 500 runners to raise awareness for a great cause. To save our oceans from plastic pollution. Since coming back home, I’ve been making a huge effort to reduce my use of plastic and to reuse or recycle absolutely everything! Read more about the NYC trip here.  RUNNING Over the last four weeks my running has been very inconsistent. Ever …

BOARDMASTERS Surf & Music Festival.

I spent last weekend at Boardmasters festival on the beautiful Cornish coastline. As a total festival newbie, I didn’t really know what to expect, I’ve never even camped overnight in a tent before, but as always I was optimistic and pretty excited about the trip. I borrowed a tent from a friend, bought myself a sleeping bag and immediately messaged the girls to see who would be up for a 600 mile round trip. I set off at 5.45 am and picked up AJ and Tara in London at 7am. I was totally loving the road trip vibes, the car chat was hilarious and we arrived at midday feeling good. (by good, I mean I was glad to be out of the car, starting to get hungry and needing the loo) All we had to do now was locate the box office, collect our tickets and wrist bands, drive to another car park, unload the car, queue to get in, oh and pitch up a tent. No problem! Okay fast forward two hours and we’re …

Get your 5K a day!

Up for a challenge? This summer I’ll be running 5K everyday throughout August. I’m currently reading a book about habits, apparently it is human nature to constantly repeat things that we do each day, both good and bad. (oh hey Nutella) Personally, I think that I have quite an addictive personality, I never do anything 50% I’m all or nothing. Whilst reading the book I have been thinking about my own habits and I am attempting to make some new ones. So, I thought I’d challenge myself and anyone else that wants to join me, to run 5K each day for a month. I have seen lots of different run challenges online, but I feel like 5K is a realistic distance for me to do everyday. I enjoy running in the morning so I’ll probably do most of my runs before breakfast. To make it more fun I will be inviting lots of friends to get involved and you can easily join/share the challenge online by using hashtag #5Kaday and your own name e.g. #adrienne5Kaday …

Training with Alexandra – Part 3

Session 4 I’ve just had my forth session which was great. We started with running, interval training and building up to a faster and faster pace. We finished the session with strength exercises and a little bit of stretching . I like the fact that Adrienne knows exactly how I want to look ( yes, Victoria Secret model) well it’s worth a shot isn’t it… I’ve had a demanding week at work but I see it as vital to my energy and health, to keep going and stick with it.   Healthy eating is still going steady with zero alcohol and it’s definitely getting easier and easier every time, even if I was feeling exhausted today. Also, I have to add that I really enjoy Adrienne’s energy and positive outlook on life! I’m off on holiday and I will actually miss my sessions but will be keeping up the good work by running and swimming on my hols! I absolutely love training Alex as she is totally committed. She understands that there are no quick …

Working out with Alexandra Wood

Earlier this week I started training with a new client, Alexandra Wood. Alex is an award winning bespoke mens suit designer & a mother to three. After the school run, she  heads to her London showroom, based in Savile Row. Oh, and I should probably mention that Alex is getting married next year. Congratulations! Alex has kindly agreed to share her fitness journey with us and let you know what it is really like to train with me. Over to Alex . . . In the past, I have been through several rounds of boot camps which have been gruelling but with great results. However, I seem to constantly be prone to injury, whether it be on my neck and shoulders or on my lower back and I find that it’s very difficult to keep up that level of exercise for a long period of time. The last set of exercises I did was the 30 day shred and I did it every morning religiously and lost two inches from my hips and waist. However, for me …
