My Night Time Routine.

Often when I talk about the Power Hour and about getting up early in the morning, the first question that I get asked is, “What time do you go to bed?’ To be honest I used to be a night owl and I’d stay up until at least midnight every night, but you can’t stay up late and get up early. Sleep deprivation is not the one! So, I had to re asses my bedtime. These days I get into bed before 10pm every night. At first it was so difficult to be disciplined, I felt like I was cutting my evenings short and like I was missing out. I’d either be on my laptop, watching TV, scrolling through social media or doing all three! Let’s be honest, non of these things are helping me to live a happier, healthier life. (Although the world is a much funnier place now that we have Twitter memes) So, I made a vow to go to bed before 10:00pm every night for one week. I even set an …

Winter Wellness with Garnier

Okay let’s be honest, it is absolutely freezing at the moment and the temptation to stay indoors and hibernate is overwhelming! But, if you know me, then you’ll know that I can’t sit still for very long. I am training more than ever right now as this year I am running my first ever marathon! It’s only 14 weeks away so whatever the weather, I’ve got to get out there! Winter training definitely has it’s challenges and so I’m doing my best to look after my body, both outside and in. I’m not sure how I’ve manage to get away with this for quite so long! Seriously my bathroom skin care shelf was pretty pathetic. Well not any more, this year I am going to get in the know! So, firstly I’ve teamed up with Garnier. They kindly sent me …

Birchbox May 2015 ‘Free Your Mind’

Whilst I was out shopping recently, a sales assistant at a beauty counter asked me if I needed any help. I was looking a little dazed and confused at the huge amount of beauty lotions and potions on offer. She then asked me what my current skin care regime was and what products I liked to use. To be honest, my skin care regime is pretty basic & I share the bathroom each morning with a 3 year old and his dinosaurs. I felt a little overwhelmed by the amount of products that this lady claimed to be ‘essentials’. I ended up leaving the shop with the same Clinique bronzer that I have been buying for the last four years. Later that week I met up with a friend and she introduced me to Birchbox. I’m sure that you have probably heard of Birchbox before but if like me, you’re a little late to the party, then here’s what you need to know. Birchbox is a monthly beauty subscription service. Your box will include beauty, skin care …
